As a Holistic Nutritionist, my goal is to make nutrition simple, straight forward & easy to implement for my clients. For the athletes that I work with, nutrition can mean the difference between hitting the wall halfway through a race versus finishing a race strong and ready for more.
Nutrition for those with high output needs to be viewed and approached from a lens of fuelling. You can't cut calories or drop carbs and expect to perform.
I work one-on-one with my athletes to ensure they have a fuelling strategy (during training, off-season AND during races) that works for their goals & output levels. I make sure they are not depleting themselves, which I see regularly through performance declines, decreased immune functioning and irregular moods (amongst a slew of other symptoms)
Cookie cutter plans won't work for athletes because they are all at various activity levels and are all starting from different places.
Here is my process:
Generally we meet (via Zoom or in-person) monthly, with a 3 month minimum commitment:
1. We initially meet via Zoom to go through your goals, concerns, current habits etc. We make sure we are a good match and you have a chance to ask questions
2. You provide me 3-7 days of food logs (I send you the template for this) to get an idea of what you're currently doing
3. We meet in person or via. zoom and I go through your food logs with you, providing you 1-3 actionable tasks moving forward
4. We meet again monthly, talk about your results, successes, challenges, etc. We examine your races, training sessions etc to ensure what we are doing is working well. I provide additional adjustments as needed (especially when training changes)
Over the last 10 years of being a Nutritionist, and the last 7 years as a marathon runner, I have a good handle on what works and what doesn't from a fuelling standpoint (especially for women - of perimenopause age!)

4 X 30 minute weekly Zoom calls (initial + once a month)
